Actually Arsenal has made a great decision from both a business and a moral perspective. Promoting Rwanda can lead to more tourism and foreign investment in that country. That has the potential to help the people more than the amount spent by Rwanda for the promotion. A Brit saying the Rwandans should not advertise with a football club just reeks of colonial mentality.

President Kagame may not be as democratic as Theresa May, but he’s one of the most democratic leaders in Africa. Many sad statistics are cited but what is shockingly not mentioned is that Rwanda is recovering from a genocide committed a quarter century ago. You cannot blame President Kagame for having a country in need of healing. Maybe Arsenal should consider making a donation to help football teams in Rwanda.
