Russian support for Tehran is more nuanced and balanced than your heavy handed view. Russia sees the Shia fundamentalists in Iran as useful in supporting Russian objectives in Syria and in frustrating the US generally. At the same time Russians recognize the legitimacy of the Iranian protests and view them as stemming from grievances about corruption and lack of economic opportunity. It does not deny the existence of the protests. You appear not to have caught that. Repeat : you are allowed to and encouraged to empathize with the Iranian people and the protestors while denouncing US intervention in what is an internal Iranian matter. Got it now?
