Did the rioters get close to AOC? No one else seems to think so. She went into a panic and barged into the office of Democratic Congresswoman and threw open cabinets looking for a hiding place. She went into hysterics when a Capitol police officer knocked on the door to escort her to a safe evacuation site. A Republican Congresswoman two doors down observed there were never any rioters within 100 feet of AOC.
She did release melodramatic video somehow connecting her fear when rioters were not close to her to a time when claimed she had been sexually abused. She supplied few details. But it was a riveting emotional performance that neatly put her at the center of attention, even if rioters had been nowhere near her on January 6.
