Fair enough.

Let’s agree to disagree about inflation though again the price of oil and gas is a lot less than it used to be especially on an inflation adjusted real dollar basis. Also consumers are buying online at a record clip and many apparently have the money to pay $3 a cup for fancy latte coffee and lots of other non-essential products. The Great Recession of 2008 was severe. It grew out of the Financial Collapse of 2007. However a decade later and despite lingering effects and ongoing long-term changes in the economy, the US as a whole is well out of that recession and its economy is growing nicely.

Finally I’m still not blaming the New York Times for reporting the release of official government statistics. If you want to call them propaganda, I think it only fair to blame the government office that released them.
