We had a Medieval Warming Period followed by a Little Ice Age. It was a pretty steep temperature dtop in a short time. On a larger scale, we were in the end of an ice age a scant 15,000 years ago. We’ve warmed up quite a bit since then.

The overall point is that minimally disruptive adaptation to climate change could solve most of the problem without imposing the draconian restrictions on developed nations that Climate Alarmists insist are necessary.
