I don’t mind paying taxes to prevent people from going hungry in America. But the idea that people on Food Stamps are entitled to live high on the hog at taxpayer expense rubs me the wrong way. You seem incredibly unaware of how perverse it is for cashiers who can’t afford luxuries to be taxed so others can buy those luxury foods. Your whole piece was a unintended argument for restricting what can be purchased with SNAP program benefits.
