I haven’t watched a pro football game since Kaepernick started his ill-placed protest and I won’t watch until the NFL kicks him out and bans him. Nothing shouts hypocrisy or discredits a cause faster than a rich pampered spoiled kid whining about oppression. If he wants to stand or sit or protest, that is his right as an American, but only on his own time, not when he is on the job making millions wearing the uniform of his employer. Unless the NFL puts a stop to this, what is to stop another player or even the police at games from sporting “Blue Lives Matter” paraphernalia?

Meanwhile I am discovering how easy it is to kick the habit. After years of wasting every Sunday afternoon, every Monday night, and every Thursday screaming at a TV screen at home or in a bar, I can report there is life without pro football.
