If anything the lyrics about the “ hole in satellite picture” refer to the ozone hole over the South Pole in the 1980s. It was recognized by all sides and all major nations. Everyone agreed this hole was exceedingly dangerous and accepted that it was caused by chlorinated compounds and aerosols. The 1987 Montreal agreements signed by most countries banned the use of such aerosols. The hole has now shrunk to its smallest size ever recorded. The faux climate crisis over CO2 emissions stands in sharp contrast to the actual crisis over aerosols. Back then, global warming was big, but not as big a thing as climate change is now.
