The US is doing a lot better than the EU and most other advanced economies. Unemployment went down to 3.6% and there are more open jobs than unemployed. Black and Hispanic unemployment is the lowest since they started keeping the statistics.

So no the US is not crumbling- far from it. Further, just a decade ago when all the statistics just cited were terrible, the US was not in good shape, but it was still not in any danger of crumbling.

All the terrible conditions you cite are the type of chronic problems that exist and have existed for centuries in all societies in one form or another. Crime is bad, but it was far worse 50 years ago. Drug addiction is rising and is arguably as bad as it was during the crack cocaine epidemic in the 1990s and we survived that. Granted we are not approaching Nirvana, that doesn’t mean we can’t get along quite well. We’ve been treated to “the end is coming” hysterics from a lot of sources for a long time and some were far more plausible and scary than anything you’ve come up with. If the US keeps advancing despite your dire warnings, the only thing that will crumble is your credibility.
