This criticism has a lot of problems. It shows the author lacks the self-awareness to realize her criticism illustrates one of the central points of the article. The tendency to relentlessly expand the pseudo-scientific notions of anti-racist dogma is beautifully illustrated by point 1 in which the author is criticized for not realizing that being “wealthy and being famous " is just as much part of an individual’s intersectional identity as being Black and being Gay. I’m no expert on this, but I don’t think those who started the concept of intersectionalism would approve including being wealthy and famous as one of approved intersectionalist identities. The critic needs to read a dozen arcane books and do the work of educating herself on anti-racism. Until then, the comments of the original author go so far above her head, it is scarcely worth reading her criticism.
