Trump’s popularity among Black voters is rising. Recent polls give him approval ratings in the lower 30s.

I don’t take polls as gospel, but I do believe the quadrupling of his poll numbers is indicative of some real increase. Could it move his Black support in the next election from 8% to 15%? I think so.

Black unemployment is the lowest its ever been and the Black poverty rate has dropped to the lowest ever. Black median family income has shot up. Trump meets regularly with Black ministers and he has helped historically Black colleges and universities. He pushed through a criminal justice reform bill that benefitted many Black Americans. He has also championed veterans and active military personnel, a good percentage of whom Black. You think Kanye wearing a MAGA hat and meeting Trump in the Oval Office went unnoticed? The fact is there is a significant Black Middle and Working class that is more moderate on economic issues than the Progressive Left.

I think you are very wrong. Black votes matter a lot. Democrats take them for granted at their own peril in 2020.
