When Palestinian leadership negotiates in earnest instead of rejecting generous offers of statehood as they have done several times and each time made no counteroffer, when Palestinians stop taking money meant to improve their living conditions and squander it on graft, missiles, and terror tunnels, when Palestinians cease endless campaigns of terror, when Hamas and Fatah stop fighting each other and end their civil war, then peace will be possible. Palestinian living conditions could be much better. Nothing stops the Palestinians from building a beautiful environment in Gaza and in the towns they administer in Judea and Samaria. Unfortunately Hamas has let the infrastructure deteriorate in Gaza. It has recently burned all the tires and attacked the gas lines at the crossing. Don’t blame Israel when these shortsighted actions lead to shipping bottlenecks and make conditions even worse.
