Why don’t you read the closest thing there is to a transcript? It does totally exonerate Trump from the charges made by the Whistleblower. This was the infamous call that was the basis of the hearsay complaint. Adam Schiff did a nice parody of what was alleged to be in the transcript. His performance was a Big Lie. In the transcript, there is no quid pro quo and no threat to withhold aid. There is no demand to dig up dirt on a political rival. There is no demand for opposition research to help his campaign in 2020.
Your quotation in which Trump asks for a favor is misleading — the favor he asks is for Zelensky to look into Crowdstrike and the 2016 election. Much later in the conversation after Zelensky talks about his initiatives to fight corruption does Trump suggest one time, not seven times as Schiff claimed, that Zelensky investigate what the Bidens did. A key point is that they did a lot that looks shady. A Big Lie is to deny that Hunter Biden’s no-show job with Burisma looks suspicious. A Big Lie is to deny that Joe Biden’s explicit threat to cut off aid was a blatant conflict of interest.
Most people after reading the transcript don’t find anything wrong with the call. That’s why Trump released the transcript and wants people to read it.
