You can keep twisting and misquoting the transcript released by the White House, but we can all read it and see how you are not being truthful.

Trump follows on a request for more U.S. arms from the President of Ukraine with an immediate ask of a “favor” of digging up dirt on Joe Biden.

But that is absolutely not what the transcript says. In the transcript Trump asks for a “favor” to investigate Crowdstrike, the firm that did the forensic audit of the famous hacked DNC servers. Try reading it this time- don’t rely on Schiff’s parody.

President: I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike... I guess you have one of your wealthy people... The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation…

Only later in the call does the Ukrainian President bring up his interest in cleaning up corruption and mentions his interest in talking to Guliani. Then Trump does suggest one time that the Bidens be investigated. The Ukrainian President agrees and declares such an investigation is necessary to “restore honesty”. There is no pressure, no threat, no quid pro quo. Don’t believe me. Listen to the Ukrainian President who insists there was no such thing.

In contrast Biden is on record as having used aid cutoff threats to demand a Prosecutor be fired in six hours, the very Prosecutor investigating corruption in the very firm making payoffs to Hunter Biden. That’s more than a clear case of nepotism, influence peddling, and conflict of interest if not outright violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

The brilliance of releasing the transcript is that you and Schiff and others can’t keep making up lies about it.
