You do not want to acknowledge the widespread violence spawned by the mix of BLM, Antifa, and Radical Leftists. But it is real, not an invented pretext. The rioting, looting, and arson in Minneapolis, New York, Oakland, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, and a dozen other cities are reminiscent of the rioting in 1967 and 1968. The Democrats have been unable to keep their cities safe. They have let loose widespread criminality and are defunding the police. They have allowed lawless protest zones to sprout up and statues to be torn down. The Democrats are responsible for riots and rising crime. Residents of city minority neighborhoods are upset at the collapse of police protection and surrender of their streets to violent gangs. People in the suburbs are fearful the violence could come their way. So given that reality, it is a legitimate and potent campaign issue. You may disagree with Trump on a number of policies, but the Democrats are beholden to mobs and gangs and are ideologically incapable of acknowledging the violence or doing anything to protect people from it. The choice is clear: Riots and Revolution or Law and Order.
