You object to teaching in a race-neutral manner, but once you treat kids differently on account of race, you are spreading and perpetuating racism. You are advocating kids of different racial background be treated differently. Conceptually that is the doctrine propounded by the Ku Klux Klan. What does teaching with consciousness of race even mean? What happens when the teacher is explicitly not race-neutral? Does it mean you gave all POC an “A” even if they can’t add and all Asian students an “F" if they can do multi-variate calculus? Does your non-neutral approach lead to a dumbing down of standards for POC? If so, then you are not preparing your Black students for success: you are preparing them for a life of burger-flipping. You have also devalued the credentials issued by your institution. Employers and admissions officials know the Black kids you are sending out have had an inferior education because they haven’t been held to race-neutral standards. Go back to Brown vs Board of Education and the bedrock principle of equality under law. Treat all kids fairly. Don’t spread racism. Don’t judge children by the color of their skin. It’s wrong and your overtly well-meaning approach to teaching Black kids does them more harm than you realize.
