You seem to be blind to the Leftist mobs we see on our screens, mobs that are trying to intimidate, injure, physically confrontand deplatform those whose politics they object to. You seem to see nothing where the rest of the world sees organized demonstrators obstructing Senate hearings, shrieking at Senators and their families to force them to leave restaurants and pounding on the doors of the Supreme Court. This escalation of political obstruction, intimidation, and violence to unprecedented level has been approved and encouraged by too many Democratic leaders. Your counterargument denies none of that. You do give a whitewash apologia that equates the mob rule tactics of the Resistance Left with the terrorist attacks by small groups of far right individuals, acts such as the Oklahoma City bombing that were condemned by all Republican political leaders. To make a legitimate “ they do it too” argument, you need to point out the right wing mobs running Nancy Pelosi out of a restaurant, or Republicans disrupting Senate hearings, or Conservative students rioting to prevent Hillary from speaking at a college, and then have quotes from Republican egging them on. Of course none of that happened. The mob tactics are being used by only one side.

I was a lifelong Democrat till two ago when I realized the party had been captured by factions hostile to the working and middle classes, and that it was run by groups that hate America and detest its system of Constitutional democracy. Their use of Leftist agitation methods is not surprising. What is surprising is that a smart observant person such as yourself does not recognize that this is happening. It is not the party it once was. Isn’t it long past time to walk away? At the very least, don’t we need to stop the mob, prevent rioters from controlling the streets, and condemn the campaign of confrontation and obstruction?
